Abia Mission school emphasizes on agriculture, seeks partnership with Government

A Mission school in Abia State, Kingdom Bible College of the Word Foundation (KBCWF), is laying emphasis on agriculture and is therefore seeking partnership with both the federal and Abia state governments.
Founder of the College, Rev Emmanuel Ukoha who disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the Colleges permanent site at Ozu Abam, in Arochukwu Local Government Area, said such partnership, will lead to the production of enough food for the people.
Rev Ukoha revealed that the College has over 200 hectres of farm land most of which are being cultivated to produce the food students consumption, while the remaining are sold to neighbouring communities.
“All foods that are consumed in this school are produced in this place and what remain are sold at various markets in Abia at subsided prices.
“Our major source of income are farming and contracts. We have been looking for partnership with not only Abia State, but the federal government and Abia state governments.”
He expressed optimism that the Dr. Alex Otti that has been agriculture friendly would without hesitation, accept the partnership proposal to make food scarcity in the state a thing of the past.
Rev Ukoha assured the college has expanse of farm land that can produce enough food for the Abia population, if the federal and Abia state governments could partner it.
On the allegation that activities at the college are shredded in secrecy, the KBCWF founder denied it, saying the falsehood was being peddled by enemies of the institution.
Rev Ukoha said there was no way activities of a school with over 1,500 student population would be done in secret.
The cleric disclosed that some people in the area are peddling false rumours against him and the school because he destroyed a deity responsible for the death of many personalities in Abam community, including a man that lived in Lagos.
He expressed surprise that instead of some people in his community being happy with him for subduing the evil powers of the local deity and for setting young stars free, they were against him.
“I killed the spirit and set the people free but those personalities that benefited from the spirit are the people that are spreading rumours about us.”
Rev Ukoha appealed to Governor Otti to construct roads leading to the school and to provide modern farm implements
